BARISTA

As a Barista, you will make world class connections with the customers you see every day by providing a warm and welcoming environment, including keeping the store clean and tidy. You will also take customer orders, using the POS systems and receiving payments. Provide quality beverages, whole bean and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow health, safety and sanitation Guidelines for all products whilst restocking food and drinks using the FIFO system. You will communicate information to the line manager so that the team can respond as necessary to

Create the ‘Third Place’ environment during each shift and also follow 23.5 Degrees Ltd t/a Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety or security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.

Qualifications:
A management background in retail/hospitality or other similar service industries. A passion for providing world class customer service. Team development skills and proven coaching experience. Effective communication skills that allow you to lead and direct a team. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think on your feet. Proven track record in back office processes such as labour scheduling, recruitment and stock ordering, stock counts, maintaining and developing H&S and food safety procedures and records, maintaining training files to company standards.In return for your amazing ability to lead a team that consistently connects with customers and deliver the perfect beverage we can assure you no two days will be the same!

APPRENTICESHIPS

Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeships:
The Level 3 programme is aimed at our Shift Managers and is designed to build your expertise and skills to help you manage a team, workloads and resources. With this programme you will work towards achieving an ILM L3 Diploma in Management as well L2 functional skills in English and maths should you need to. This programme is aimed at helping us develop talent and support the internal growth of our future leader.

Level 3 Business Administrator:
At 23.5 Degrees our Business Administrator Apprentices support and engage with different parts of the organisation from day to day operations, interacting with our Area Coaches, right the way through to supporting other departments across the business such as Finance and HR. Our Business Admin Apprentices are involved in key projects and the launching of new initiatives, they are invited to attended key meetings to learn more about the business so they are able to use that information to support them in achieving their qualification

Level 5 District Coach Apprenticeship:
The Operations Departmental Management apprenticeship is a level 5 management programme designed for senior managers managing teams or projects. This programme provides the opportunity to reflect on your own self, your impact on others and the development of your emotional intelligence. You will develop knowledge in a multitude of areas that you will support you in your role in areas such as operational management, initiating and managing change, financial budgeting and forecasting, project management, coaching, mentoring and talent management. This is an ideal programme for a manager who wishes to develop their theoretical knowledge of management and drive improved performance across their organisation.
